HURLEY: DELEK 4D INSTALLATION

James Marshall aka “Dalek” along with Hurley was excited to present two art exhibitions titled “PSYCH OPTIC BLACK LIGHT FUZZ.” For over 18 months artist James Marshall has been a creative partner with Hurley exploring the concept of innovation, dimensionality, color and the power of free creativity through community. The exhibition “PSYCH OPTIC BLACK LIGHT FUZZ” is the natural culmination of their successful partnership together. The first opening was held at the Laguna Beach Hurley 225 Forest location; and the second was held at The Hurley )( Space Gallery in Costa Mesa.  AoSA was lucky enough to help contribute to both of these events.

PRISM BREAK, a celebration of the US Open of Surfing and launch of the Phantom 4D board short was an exhibition at the )(Space.   AoSA played a huge part in this exhibition creating all of the 4D multi dimensional realization of art that featured the work of art of artist “Delek.”  AoSA built all of the 4D structures with Pine frames using FSC certified Baltic Burch that were then covered in durations of black light material with Delek’s art.  The structures were all installed with custom light fixtures illuminating the multi colored spires and creating a fun house maze entry in the exhibit.

HOW THE CHANGE WAS MADE

Thru this exhibition AoSA helped to create a space where attendees were allowed the unique opportunity to be completely immersed in a Delek inspired 4D Universe. The exhibit also included the Hurley x Nike Air Max 90, the Hurley x LDG fixed gear bikes, a custom 4D surfboard, and Mix Master Mike Skullcandy headphones.  Thru Hurley and AoSA’s choice to choose sustainable materials there is hope for more collaborations in exhibiting art in a green fashion.
