O2: Treehouse

O2 Treehouse, a sustainable design and builder of treehouses have done installations all over the world.  Their design ethos seeks to capture the spirit of the ecology, inspired by the forms of nature, blending natural and man made.

AoSA was brought on to help execute an instillation for Insomniac Entertainment as a portion of the art installation area of the Electric Daisy Carnival. For this show they wanted to do something very special with print. This install consisted of 165 fully printed 2” x 6” x 60” pieces of Douglas fir.  The installation and design was done by 02 Treehouse in 5 short days and assembled in 24 hours. AoSA was instrumental in executing the vision of 02 Treehouse by being the only water based print house that could hit the deadline and 3d printing requirements.

HOW THE CHANGE WAS MADE

O2 Treehouse’s structures have the capacity to be fully self- sufficient and adaptable to any environment or location.  Their structures are designed for simplicity so that they can be easily manufactured using standard manufacturing process in any location.  In collaborating on this project the AoSA and O2 Treehouse team reduced the carbon footprints with an opportunity for local labor and materials to be utilized including local materials, and cooperating with local manufactures. The project was very fun to do in that it was picked up in the morning and needed to be done by the afternoon. The project now resides in a house in Venice where it is used as a Yoga house.
